From Scratch to Popularity: How We Created a Brand for a Local Restaurant (Case Study)
The process of turning an ordinary cafe into one of the most popular restaurants in Tashkent. In this case study, we reveal the strategy, design, and marketing approaches we applied.

Starting point: Ambition exists, but no brand
The goal of the client who came to us was clear: to create not just a place to eat, but a restaurant with a special atmosphere that people would visit specifically. They made delicious food, but they didn't have a brand. The name was ordinary, the logo was a template, and the interior was unremarkable.
Main problems:
- Did not stand out from competitors.
- Unclear target audience.
- Many one-time customers, but few regular guests.
- Lack of "life" on social media.
Our approach: Strategy → Identity → Atmosphere
We didn't start with "just drawing a beautiful logo." We conducted a deep analysis.
Stage 1: Strategic foundation
- Defining the target audience: We moved away from working "for everyone" and chose a clear segment: socially active people aged 25-45 with above-average income who value new experiences.
- Choosing the brand archetype: We chose "The Magician" archetype. Our goal was to create an atmosphere where unforgettable dishes are created from ordinary products, surprising the guests.
- Positioning: "Not just a restaurant, but a gastro-adventure."
Stage 2: New identity (Naming and Design)
- Naming: Rejecting the outdated name, we found a new, mysterious, and memorable name that reflected the restaurant's philosophy.
- Logo and Corporate Style: In the new logo, we used mysterious and elegant elements corresponding to the archetype. In the color palette, we combined dark green, gold, and graphite colors, blending luxury and naturalness.
- Brand Voice: For texts on social media and the menu, we developed a "magical" and slightly mysterious tone of voice.
Stage 3: Bringing the brand to life
- Interior Design: In collaboration with interior designers, we reflected the brand strategy in the interior. Every detail—from the dishes to the lighting—was subordinated to a single concept.
- Packaging Design: The "take-away" packaging became not just a bag, but a "magic box" that continued the brand experience outside the restaurant.
- SMM Strategy: On social media, we didn't just post pictures of food; we told the brand's story in every post. We shared guests' emotions, the chef's creative process, and "behind-the-scenes" footage.
Result: Numbers and facts
In six months:
- The restaurant's average check increased by 40%.
- The number of regular guests increased by 3 times.
- The number of Instagram followers organically grew by 5 times.
- The restaurant became a favorite spot for "food bloggers" and celebrities in Tashkent.
Conclusion: This case shows that a successful restaurant business is based not only on delicious food but also on a well-thought-out brand strategy. Branding is the art of creating a single and unforgettable experience at every touchpoint—from the menu to the waiter's smile.
